Is enthusiasm always positive?

This past weekend I had the fortune of photographing the Region IV Jr. Olympic Mens Gymnastic competition. The first day everything was kind of the same. The crowd cheered normal; nothing special. The athletes cheered each other on. Once again, nothing special.
But on Sunday morning, a team showed up that put a WOW into their appearance.
I couldn’t tell where it came from…but I really believe it was their two coaches. These men were pushing their boys in good ways. They were praising everything they did and motioning to the spectator parents and relatives to join in with them. It was contagious.
Not only that; it paid off. Watching the awards ceremony at the end, they had more athletes on the awards stand than any other team. But they were still beat at the team competition, coming in second. I guess their scores weren’t quite as high as that team. Regardless, their enthusiasm had proven its’ point……”good things happen to those who are positive and enthusiastic”.
So this weeks message is to be positive. Be contagious. Be enthusiastic!! When you clear your mind of all the clutter, negative thoughts and the dullness; it opens the doors for positive, compelling things to happen. You never know where you will end up!!
